‘Legend
Trip’
New
Work by
Alison Gill
17th May - 16th June 2012
Private View Wednesday 16th May 6-9pm
A topological koan. A folkloric journey. A quest into the
supernatural with a Freudian guide. British artist Alison
Gill’s strange, otherworldly sculptures resonate with
ambivalence, humour and unease. This new installation takes
on aspects of modern sculpture, questioning the formal concerns
with place, materials, process and space that continue to
haunt it in the expanded field. Legend Trip, dares 'to do'
and 'to be', creating something made, crafting something
to see, feel and be spellbound by. A trip. A legend. A rite
of passage for the mind.
